Rumon Gamba returns to the Sinfónica de Galicia in November for two concerts in A Coruña. He will conduct Sibelius's suite 'Rakastava' (The Lover), op.14, followed by Schumann's Piano Concerto, with Marianna Prjevalskaja as the soloist, and concluding with Vaughan Williams' Symphony no.5.
The following week, he will return to the Oulu Symphony Orchestra, where he will take up his post as Chief Conductor in January 2022. With guitarist Craig Ogden and flautist Albert Stupak, Gamba will celebrate the centenary of Sir Malcolm Arnold with programmes including his guitar and flute concertos, Four Scottish Dances, Symphony No.5, and Bridge on the River Kwai Suite.
